The Song of Your Sacred Name

At some point, if you’re lucky,

life as you’ve known it becomes unbearable:

the striving, the loneliness, the endless rant

of inner voices screaming, You are not enough!

And without quite knowing how, you find yourself turning

toward that invisible, ineffable something

that has always called to you.

In the midst of that terrible clamor, you stop.  You listen.

You hear the singing of your precious, almost forgotten, sacred name.

And you follow.
